Madarstan

Madarstani Krukorans are gifted magic users, but unfortunately they tend not to have the strongest moral compasses. Their society is governed by a dog-eat-dog (bug-eat-bug?) mentality. Most Madarstanis are not incredibly keen on helping others, and look out for themselves above all else. They often take high-paying jobs as mercenaries. The more peacefully minded Madarstanis tend to take jobs that their fire magic will complement, such as cooking and metalworking.

The Sadara Magma Geyser Field is Madarstan’s foremost (and nearly only) tourist attraction. Multiple geysers in the desert routinely spout magma, some can spout magma in streams up to 100 feet tall. Surely there is a scientific explanation, but nobody really cares about that. Everyone believes it’s caused by Madarstan, the deity of fire.

Madarstani magic users are able to control the element of fire. Another basic element which can include manipulation of lava, magma, and even explosions. Madarstanis are very in tune with their magic, not due to a connection with their deity, but more because of their connection with the basic idea of fire and all that it is capable of. Most Madarstani mercenaries are smart enough to not use their fire magic every time they carry out a job, because that would make them an obvious suspect. Most opt for more subtle means of extermination.
