Ordenbury

Ordenbury is an intensely military-focused nation. Even in times of peace, Denbrish citizens over the age of 24 years are conscripted into the Denbrish military and taught basic combat skills and military tactics. Ordenbury is home to Krukora’s most advanced military.

The Ivygate Castle was built 352 AA in order to house the royal Denbrish family, several high-standing nobles, and their servants. It was destroyed by an earthquake only 5 years after construction was completed. Many non-Denbrish Krukorans believe that the earthquake was the result of Ordenbury, the deity of light, being angry with Denbrish leaders who were focused on fighting unnecessary wars instead of honoring their commitment to Ordenbury and the element of light. The castle was rebuilt 369 years AA, and still stands to this day. Though it seems that Denbrish leaders haven’t learned from the disaster that took the first iteration of their castle…

Denbrish magic users are able to control the element of light. This means they can manipulate brightness, as well as colors. However, they are unable to create a complete absence of light and cannot reduce the amount of light in a place from what it would be naturally. They can only increase light and decrease it back down to that base level. Denbrish magic users gain almost all of their power from the sun, so their powers are greatly diminished during the nighttime.
